how do you use a form and a webButton to control a webGrid

Here's what i need to do.

I have a stored procedure with a number of parameters. The parameter values are entered into a number of fields on a form and then the user clicks a webButton. How do i do this? I don't want to use the filter since the database tables are very large and i want to select the records at the database. 

I can't find anyway to refresh the webgrid when the webButton is clicked. If i use a dataGrid this is very simple.
