Hi there,
I want to make sure whether your WebGrid 7.0 is FULLY support XHTML doctype or not?
I've tried it with :
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"><html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
But it gives me javascript error when run the sample page. It's very simple page, just drag a WebGrid and bind it with SQL Datasource.
Please find attached screenshot.
Note : using XHTML doctype is a must. I'm using build number 400 and browser IE 9.
Regards,
Indah
I’d suggest you to use the Intersoft Update Manager 3.0 application to obtain the latest build of WebGrid and WebUI.NET Framework 3.0. Please point your mouse to start > All Programs > Intersoft WebUI Studio 2011 R1 SP1 > Update Manager.
Intersoft Update Manager is a .NET-based Windows application featuring centralized interface to obtain latest Updates for any installed Intersoft components that built on WebUI.NET Framework. The Updates address known issues and improvements in stability, performance as well as new enhancements.
Update Manager will determine the action required for each Updated file, such as whether the file should overwrite the existing/older file or whether the file should be placed as new stand-alone file. For most components Update tasks, the Update Manager will back up the existing version to Update Manager's subfolder labeled 'Backup' following the subfolder 'ProductName_<CurrentDateTime>' and replace the new assemblies to installation folder. The same task will also be applied to client side scripts if any.
You can also obtain Updates without has to use Intersoft Update Manager. You can login to web-based Intersoft Developer Network and download the Updates manually. However, you will need to manually updating all assemblies and client side scripts (if any).
Should you have any difficulties using the Intersoft Update Manager, please kindly let us know so that we assist you further.
I tried to reproduce the problem in my local test by viewing the XHTML.aspx sample file (available in WebGridSamples project, start > All Programs > Intersoft WebUI Studio 2011 R1 SP1 > WebUI Studio for ASP.NET > WebGrid 7 > C# Samples (Visual Studio 2010 Solution) in browser but my efforts were not successful – everything worked smoothly and the page was accessed without any issues.
The live version of the same sample can be accessed at http://live.intersoftpt.com/cs/WebGrid/XHTML.aspx.
For your information, I’m using WebGrid 7.0 build 431 and WebUI.NET Framework 3.0 build 772.
Please kindly let us know if you have different result.
