Please see attached image. This happens when loading webgrid running internet explorer 8. Works fine with other browsers.. I got Intersoft WebUI Studio SP1 updated. Thank you.
Note: Happens in debug mode only
Hi,
Could you guide or tell me how you replicated this issue? It would be helpful if you can give more details such as a simple sample. Also, please let me know if you also got the same issue in our WebGrid sample.
Regards,Handy
Hello,
My application uses Ajaxtoolkit Modal Popup Extender and WebPart inside a panel to display the hierarchical webgrid.. If I dont use the popup extender the error doesn't appear. I did the same thing on WebGrid Sample.
I think sending a simple sample wouldn't help because while trying to replicate the error in WebGrid Sample I tried to compare properties with the falty application, but pages content are almost the same... its different only in datasource. Anyway.. could it be related to some kind of resources used by webgrid? I mean, last version used to work with webresources... the sample works fine even in a popup window.
TIA
Yes, I understand it'll be difficult to see what exactly caused the error only based on the screenshot, but right now I dont have the time to make an working example of my non-working webgrid (well.. it works, but gives me this annoying js error) based on Northwind database... Anyway, I thought it could be related to the problem posted here.
Well, are you sure the error is the same like those post? I think it was not. The error seems different from yours.
I didn't say "the same"; I said "could be related".
Yes, I think it could be related (or else I wouldn't reference it). Simply because it happens with IE8 (as far as I've tested) and before updating to SP1 the error was just the same as his.. now it is just the next sentence at the same function after his error; I did not analyze what code it has before the 'else'.
Yes, I understood your point. But I need to replicate this issue on my environment first before i can also investigate this issue. So, perhaps you can tell me more detail about your scenario such as screenshots, etc that can guide me.
