This is out of the box functionality for grid filter:
if user enter a value in any of the filter on Grid filter bar and then click away from the filter bar the value is removed from the filter. The only way to keep the filter is by selecting another filter or selecting the run button. How to keep the value in a filter when clicking on any row in a grid

Sorry, but that behaviour is not supported yet. By default, it will clear the filter column when it is lost focus.
