First of all, deeply apologize for this late respond. After having a discussion with Developer team, this is not an issue by WebCombo, since the style can be customized in the WebCombo itself. By default, the text box of the WebCombo has a top padding like a few pixels, so it actually looks good for normal use. However, when used in Grid, the Combo is relatively smaller, so the padding can be adjusted to the TextBoxStyle accordingly.

In your case, you can try to set the height of WebCombo to 15px. I have tried to set that for my WebCombo integrated with WebGrid and it gives me a good result.
