I have a groupby grid that I would like to be able to default the groupby column withouth having the user needing to drag it. We have a default groupby column for our grid. I assume this is possible, but have not been able to track/locate how to accomplish this. We are on the latest grid version which I believe is 7. Thanks in advance!
You can bind normally into WebGrid and retrieve the stucture. Then, open WebGrid designer>>Advanced>>RootTable>>GroupedColumns>>add a WebGridGroup Columns and set Column Member.

Thanks. I had tried that, but it didn't work intially. It is now. Don't know what I changed, but it's working as expected.
Glad to hear that it worked. Please also don't forget to set AllowGrouping="Yes" in your WebGrid.
