Hi,
I've a web grid with enabled edit mode for some columns.
And there is a bad issue, if the user for example needs to update some of the rows and cells, and go row after row with changing the data.
After finishing and we refresh the gird, we find that some rows just ignore the changes and kept the original value before the change.
This is really bad, as the user thinks that they have made the changes, while they losing data in this way!!
I need you advise here.
Maged
Hi Maged,
I have try your scenario on my side but couldn't see any problem, all the changes was succesfully updated. Even on BatchUpdate or not, it works perfect on my side.
Could you describe more about your issue or maybe provide me a sample and I will investigate much further for the issue.=)
Thank you and have a nice weekend.
Best regards,
Niven Prasetya
Here is how to replicate it:
1- Set this option to true: EditOnClick="True"
2- You also can have one of column to be as boolean and checkbox.
3- Quickly change the data row after row fast (my users will do that for sure!).
4- Refresh the grid!
By the way, its not happening with batch update of course.
Let me know.
I have tried a scenario based on your steps, but I still could not replicate your issue.
I have attached a video of your scenario on my side.
The delay when update can be derived by many factors. Maybe a simple sample of your code and database can help me investigate your issue.
Thank you and have a nice day.
EDIT:
A new video has been posted. I have checked the video twice and change the format before uploading.
I couldn't open your video!
I can't send you the data neither the code, its fairly large project that need to be sent!
Hello,
Please let me know how's the video and your current situation.
Regards,
Niven.
I checked the video, I really don't know why its not acting the same on my code!!
Anyway I chose to use batch update which better anyway!
Thanks for your help.
