I am using the WebCombo that is bound to a datasource, only to populate the dropdown. I want the user to be able to either select an item from the list or enter a new value. This new value is not to be added to the underlying database.
In the LayOutSettings I added the property "AllowAddItem='True'". Is it possible to add an unbound item to a bound webCombo?
John,
We have a simple sample that showed exactly like your scenario. Please open WebCombo samples. You can see it at AddItem.aspx and check for "Add new WebCombo's Item to Cached DataSource". The user can add a new list into WebCombo without saving into physical database. Hope this information helps.
Best Regards,Handy
Thanks Handy, sorry I missed that sample.
