I found the root of the problem. It was a wrong formated browser capability in <BrowserCaps>  of the web.config

I have updated Chrome to 18.0.1025.142 m

and WebGrid to 7.0.7200.531


I still get the same errors as shown below. I can imagine that the problem lies somewhere else but it is hard to track down the origin of the error. I can provide more information if you want, just tell me what you need. Maybe the browser is not recognized properly and thus browser specific javascript is not executed ?

Using .NET v2. The WebGrid is integrated in a CMS. No problem with Internet Explorer, Opera or Firefox.

But as iPad is using Safari (using same browser engine as Chrome) it would be essential to get it working asap.
