Hi,
I downloaded WebUI Studio 2012 R1 trial recently but I could not find any samples that use MySQL for ISDataSource databinding. I searched past threads and found some answers but they were back in 2010 and the samples back then must have been removed in the new release. Can you help?
Hi JSDreamer,
Unfortunately, there isn't any of our sample that using other database than MSSQL and MSAccess. But it's still possible to use MySQL in your project.
You can connect MySQL to Visual Studio using MySQL Connector for .NET. For references, you can visit
http://kalanaonline.blogspot.com/2011/01/connecting-mysql-to-visual-studio-2010.html
Then after you connect the MySQL database to your Visual Studio, you can make a DataSet to get the data from MySQL Database and use the DataSet as ISDataSource's Schema. You can use ISDataSource as DataSource on WebScheduler. Hope this helps.
Regards,
Bernard
Thank you Bernard.
I am trying to use customobject to execute MySQL commands to get the resources and events and so far everything has been good except that when I ran the CarRental.aspx that I modified from the sample there was an annoying error "Object reference not set to an instance of object" that popped up right after the "You are using an eval copy from Intersoft....." watermark.
I have been trying to trace where the error came from but failed to do so. I believed it came from some where in the client script that was generated during runtime. Unfortunately I can't see the stack trace as I can't scroll down the error page. I attached the error page here.
If anyone has seen this please help.
I also attached my project here. It was created with VS2005. I also created one with VS2010. Both has the same error.
