Hi
I've to simple question:
1. Do you plan to develop MVC controls ?
2. Do you have any plan with mysterious codename jupiter ?
Kind regards
Andrzej
Hi Andrzej,
I have a good news for you.As the result of our management discussion about the approximate time to MVC first release, we will be ready to introduce new MVC components on R2 release this year. The release time should be on our regular R2 release, which should be in late September or early October.
Don't miss it Andrzej.
Best regards.Riendy
Yes, We are planning to develop our ASP.NET product to support MVC controls. Hopes we can provide it soon.Regarding to your question about plan with codename jupiter, so far we don't have any plan with codename jupiter.
Regards.Riendy
Hi Riendy,
Do you have any roadmap or could you give me aprox. time to first release for this one ?
Our management will be discussed in advance when the approximate time to first release. I will surely let you know as soon as possible when the they've come with updates.
The MVC components were in our roadmap, but has been further shifted due to more important priority. That being said, we will continue to have MVC in our roadmap, and will certainly pursue it in the next year’s release.
I have informed the development team about the requirement to have download-able Beta or preview before the official release.
Hope this helps.
I was at a code camp over the weekend and saw MVC 3 demos with Telerik controls and project templates. I even witnessed NuGet support for Telerik MVC 3 projects. When is Intersoft going to provide us with the same kind of support? It is very hard to defend your product when it is so far behind your competiors. (HTML 5, MVC 3, etc. etc.)
Thanks

Many developers are already familiar with WYSIWYG and event-driven approach that has been introduced by ASP.NET Web Form. This will not be found on web development with ASP.NET MVC pattern.
We'd like to know more about your interests to ASP.NET MVC. Could you please inform us about what kind of application that you want to develop with ASP.NET MVC?
Hi,
Maybe you should start independent software platform: Intersoft javascript framework (sth. like extjs for example) with your own javascript serwer module (sth. like module in node.js) and platform for build application (like phonegap)
With all respect to your GREAT job and products, I think ASP.NET Web Form or Silverlight it's like blind alley. If you start ASP.NET MVC ask yourself : how long you'll be behind your competiors ? (Telerik has opensource mvc extensions). Is not it a waste of time ?
kind regards
Thank you for the valuable feedback regarding the ASP.NET MVC. We want to dig as much information about what kind of application that the developer will build using the ASP.NET MVC technology. I am sending your comments to the development team.
Thank again for your message. The ideas and suggestions of innovative are always welcome.
we focus on business application (ERP,CRM etc.). asp.net mvc is using in most cases for controller (authentication, authorization and data response in json format). Front end is base on pure javascript framework. Sometimes when we expect more complicated interface like pivot grid, scheduler, calendar etc. we are looking for and using mvc extesions.
regards
Thanks again for your message.I have forwarded this to our ASP.NET development team. We look forward to serving your future needs.
Do you have any news regarding MVC Components?
Nicolas
At this moment, I don’t have any news regarding MVC components from the development team yet.
I’ll update this thread should I hear anything regarding the MVC components.
Hi Yudi,
Are MVC components part of InterSoft 2012 roadmap, and if so when can we expect the first release?
Thanks,
Cris
We thank you for your interest in our ASP.NET MVC components.
Basically, our ASP.NET product will be directed to support MVC. We’d love to hear your feedback regarding which products that will be used intensively in your MVC project. Please let us hear your valuable feedback regarding this.
Our company is currently evaluating controls that we can use for a new project. We're using ASP.NET MVC4. I get the distint impression from this forum that there is no built in support for MVC. Can you please confirm whether this is still the case?
Also, can you let me know if there is any work-around (that isn't too difficult) to use the ASP.NET controls with ASP.NET MVC?
Kind regards,
Stephen
You might be interesting to visit a blog article in Intersoft Solutions’s site at http://www.intersoftpt.com/Support/WebCombo/Blog/2009/07/19/asp-net-mvc-support/. This blog is posted by Mr. Jimmy on July 19, 2009 as basic proof of concept of using WebUI Studio ASP.NET components in MVC page.
Please let us hear your feedback regarding this.
Thanks for the response. Yeah, I did check that out, and I gave it a go, but didn't have much luck in the end. One of the issues is that we're using Razor views. Anyway, I'm sure there's a way to get it working, but to be honest it just makes it all that much more complicated than if support were built in with extensions made just for MVC, like with some other control libraries. I think many new web development projects are using ASP.NET MVC now, so it might benefit Intersoft a lot to properly support this. At the moment it's hard to justify choosing Intersoft for an MVC project, when there are much easiler options available.
Thank you for your valuable feedback about the built in MVC support feature of our ASP.NET control. I have forwarded this to the development team and I’m sure that the ideas will be considered for our next release.
