When I try to create a Business Template with Client UI R2 and WCF RIA SP1 an error is generated and the template does not get generated.

Is there any update from Client UI to work with WCF RIA Services SP1 release ?

Hi Jimmy,

Discovered the problem......  the folder name BusinessApplication.Web in the zipped template file has now changed to BA.Web

  • The zipped template file has to be changed as follows
  • Unzip the Business App Template file to a folder say My Intersoft Business App
  • Examine the contents of the above mentioned folder
  • You will find a folder BusinessApplication.Web
  • Change the name of the folder BusinessApplication.Web to BA.Web
  • Zip the My Intersoft Business App
  • Replace the original zip file with this generated file

Hello,

Could you tell me what error you are getting when you create the business template?

Could you provide a runable working sample so that I could give a test on my end?

Thank you.

Hi Martin,

  • Error appears when we create an Silverlight Intersoft Business Poject using the Intersoft Template.
  • Error Could not be found(Exception from HRESULT:0x80030002 (STG_E_FILENOTFOUND))
  • See attached file for screen shots.

Thanks

Hello Balachander,

I successfully replicated your issue after I downloaded and installed WCF RIA SP1 Beta.

I have forwarded this issue to the developer team. The ClientUI will surely get update in order to work with WCF Ria SP1 Beta.

I will let you know the progress when I get the update from the developer team.

Thank you.

Hi Balachander,

The WCF RIA SP1 is currently in beta state, which could be the reason why it caused the error in the business template.

We will definitely support WCF RIA SP1 when it's RTM'ed.

Hope this helps,
Jimmy

Hello Michael,

You can find our installed templates at C:\Users\(your username)\Documents\Visual Studio 2010\Templates. Hope this helps.

All,

Thank you for your report about the business template issue in WCF RIA SP1. As the SP1 of both Visual Studio 2010 and WCF RIA have shipped last week, we will fully support them in the upcoming ClientUI release.

Jimmy

Hi,

I have tried this fix and am still getting the same error message.

I have VS 2010 Ultimate with sp1, running on windows 7 64 bit.

Changing the folder name to BA.Web made no difference.

Hello,

I've tried the workaround from Balachander and has no luck either.

However, Intersoft template is going to fully support Visual Studio 2010 along with WCF RIA SP1 in this upcoming ClientUI release.

You might want to wait and hold for the release, since this issue will be addressed by the time the latest installer is delivered to users.

Thank you.

I just downloaded the trial for evaluation but i am also getting this error on almost all templates,  how to proceed?

Hello,

The latest 2011 R1 installer has not been released yet. Therefore, the one that you downloaded was still the previous 2010 R2 installer.

This issue will be fixed in 2011 R1 that is going to be released soon.

Thank you.

Hi Martin,

Have done exactly what I had stated. Am attaching the zip file.

Please note that you will have to replace the file in the default template folder where Visual Studio picks up.

In my case it us C:\Users\mlc\Documents\Visual Studio 2010\Templates\ProjectTemplates\Visual C#\Intersoft Solutions\Silverlight.

My username is "mlc" hence replace it as applicable.

It does work for me....

Hello,

I will try your workaround, but however this issue will be fixed in the latest 2011 R1 installer.

Therefore, when the latest 2011 R1 suite has been released, you might want to try and use it.

Thank you.

Any update on when 2011 R1 release date may be?

Martin LieSupport

Intersoft Suite 2011 R1 is scheduled to be released in this April 2011. Please keep the update from our site.

Thank you.
