.NET 4.0 required?

The error message that says “Could not load file or assembly 'ISNet.WebUI.ISLinqDataSource' or one of its dependencies. This assembly is built by a runtime newer than the currently loaded runtime and cannot be loaded.” means that the project/website is unable to find the corresponding assembly file in the bin folder.

The solution of this issue is by adding the ISNet.WebUI.ISLinqDataSource.dll file into the project bin folder. This reference file can be found at “%ProgramFiles%\Intersoft Solutions\WebUI Studio for ASP.NET\WebUI.NET Framework 3.0\Bin” folder.

I think I may have figured it out -

I found an older version of the 'ISNet.WebUI.ISLinqDataSource' dll and referenced it instead. I had to then remove some entries from the web.config file, and everything seems to be running OK.

In your opinion, am I headed down the right track?

That's the best news I've had all day, thanks!

But, my problem. If I try to build under .NET 3.5, I get the following at runtime:

Could not load file or assembly 'ISNet.WebUI.ISLinqDataSource' or one of its dependencies. This assembly is built by a runtime newer than the currently loaded runtime and cannot be loaded.

Which to me looks like a 3.5/4.0 issue, but again, being a newb, I've really no clue. Everything works fine if I build under .NET 4.

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

The information below shows the detail requirement for developing application using WebScheduler.NET 3.0.

Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Professional or Home Edition; Microsoft Windows 2000/2003/2008 Server Family; Microsoft Windows Vista; or Microsoft Windows 7
Microsoft .NET Framework v2.0 or higher
IDE: Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Professional/Team Studio/Express Edition; Microsoft Visual Studio 2008; or Microsoft Visual Studio 2010

So, yes, WebScheduler.NET 3.0 will run under Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.

Hello -

I've just started my eval, so my apologies for the newb question. Is .NET 4.0 required for the scheduler control? If so, is there an earler version of the scheduler component which will run under 3.5?

(This question relates for the ASP .NET family of products).
