Thank you for your post. Although we have not support the auto color in this version, you can request this feature to be implemented in the next version. To do this, login to Developer Network site, and go to Community Center, then switch to Product Feedback tab and create a new feature request record.

You may have to put in the details for the feature request, eg, why you believe this feature should be implemented, what's the benefits, and so on.

It will make the data is not consistent since the color will change everytime the WebScheduler opened or refreshed. Evenmore if user using export feature it can bring to another issue, which is the export result will not consistent. I believe save that color property in database will not take a big effort and space.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

The answer is Yes.

That's what I meant. I just want to distinguish resources, and don't care what color web schedule use.

Best Regards,

Huy.

How to set auto Color for Category

Hi Huy,

Could you explain more detail about your question? So far that I got from your statement, you don't want to save CategoryColor and ResourceColor in table Category and Resource but you want the scheduler generated the color automatically when WebScheduler is run. Is that what you mean? If yes, it means that the color will be changes everytime WebScheduler is refreshed?

Best Regards,

The same question for ResourceColor field, How to auto-generate Color?

Thanks,

Huy.

How to set auto Color for Category

Hi Intersoft,

I'm using WebSchedule in WEB.UI ver 3.0.5000, My Category Table didn't have CategoryColor column and I don't want to add this field to database. So How can I bind Category without binding CategoryColor but WebSchedule still auto-generate color for each of my categories? Is there any setting or sample code to do this thing?

Thanks,

Black.
