If ColumnFooters="No", then i think it is not possible. Because if you want to write manually in status bar, it would be hard to be mantained. Every time you go to another page, total would be refreshed and it is hard to get the current of total data.

I suggest you still to have ColumnFooters="Yes" because it is the best way and more elegant to use ColumnFooterAggregateMode="CalculateAllData" and in level of WebGrid column, try to set AggregateFunction="Count" FooterText="Total: " .

Is there a way to show the total rows of grid in the status bar next to the paging. I would like to have that information displayed for the user to see. Something like "displaying 500 of 11,500 rows." I need to use the classic paging mode.

PagingStyleUI="FirstPrevNextLast"

I have to have ColumnFooters="No". Is there a way to do this? If not, when would something like this be available?
