It is the default behavior in HTML. You can test by create a HTML sample page, and then type some words using some space or enter. The space would run as one space. WebGrid is adapting the HTML behavior that's why the scenario is not supported.

Regards,

Julia

Multiline column space strips

Hello,

Im using webgrid with a column (edit type - multilinetextbox) and allowmultiline=true, and im seeing a odd behaviour.

when i edit the column i insert the next text:

"

*** test ***

 test

"

I noticed that when i save the column in the database the multiple spaces are intact, but in display mode the text looks like this:

"

*** test ***

test"

He strips the multiple spaces and the last "enters" i did at the end of the text field.

Can someone help solve this problem?

Thanks is advanced
