I enclosed one file system website that contains my test page that I made based on your sent sample. I also enclosed the video that shows how the test page runs on my end.

Within the attached website, I embed the dll file of WebGrid 7 and WebUI.NET Framework 3.0 that I use on my end in order to ensure that there is no dll file build number difference between my test site and your end.

Please have the attached project tested on your end and let us know your response.

Here is the zip file containing my example. What I can see is that you are using the

<asp:AccessDataSource ID="AccessDataSource1" > in your example and it works. I am binding to a datasource, and it does not work.

Thank you for the information about the dll files.

I have checked the build number of the dll files that you use. All the dll files is confirmed as the latest dll files released by Intersoft. You are also using the same build number of dll files as my test project.

You have my example code attached in a previous reply.

For your information, I was unable to find the example code in your previous reply.

I need to check the codes in your project.

If possible, could you please send us a complete test project that replicates the issue for further investigation?

Thanks for your reply, but I still can not get the formatting to work on our grids. I created a new test project and tested the WebGridAndDataFormatString.aspx, and still does not work.

I enclosed the project (file system website) that I use to test your scenario on my end. The step-by-step and the result of the test can be seen on the attached video on my previous post. Please have the attached project tested on your end and let us know the result.

If the problem persists, would you mind to create a new project and test WebGridAndDataFormatString.aspx file in the new project?

*The build version of WebGrid 7.0 and WebUI.NET Framework 3.0 that you use is the same build version that I use in my project. You can get the installer of Intersoft WebUI Studio 2009 R2 SP1 in your TDN account.

I have WebGrid 7.0 build 401 and WebUI.Net framework 3.0 build 751. I downloaded these from the Update Manager. Where would I go to get WebUI 2009 R2 SP1?

I still can not get my formatting to work like your example is showing. I know that something must be missing from my project.

I also notice that the WebUI.NET Framework 3.0 does not reference the correct assembly vesion (3.0.5000.1), but the File version and Product version are (3.0.5000.751). Is this correct?

I enclosed one simple sample of WebGrid that will modify other cell value on OnExitEditMode client side event and a video that shows how the sample runs on my end.

For your information, I use WebGrid 7.0 build 401 and WebUI.NET Framework 3.0 build 751 that comes with Intersoft WebUI Studio 2009 R2 SP1.

I have a grid column definied as

<ISWebGrid:WebGridColumn Caption="Money" EditType="TextBox" Name="Money" Width="70px" DataMember="Money" DataFormatString="$##,###.00"> </ISWebGrid:WebGridColumn>

This field is based off a calculation. So I need to set the text and value in javascript. However, when I set the text and value the format is no longer in the correct format. Shouldn't the grid see that the column has the DataFormatString property set and set it? I should not have to format my data first. Here my code snipit.
