Excel Export Problem for some users

Since the export feature works for most people and not happen every time, we’ll need more information in order to determine what may cause the issue. Could you confirm whether you are enabling the export feature in ordinary way or is there any other settings information of the export feature that we need to test in our local test? We tried to reproduce the problem in our local test based on the information on your first post by enabling export feature of WebGrid (AllowExport=”Yes”) but our efforts were not successful – everything worked smoothly and the export result at test-user was delivered without any issues.

We are willing to advise you further but in order to do so we would need you to elaborate on your specific scenario. Any other information regarding the server or client that relate to this issue will be very helpful to observe the problematic behavior.

Excel Export Problem for some users

Hi,

Some of our users are having a problem exporting their data in Excel. The users click "Export" and a new window opens up with a 404, Page Not Found error. When I look at the properties of the page that is loaded, the url is: res://ieframe.dll/http_404.htm#http://our_domain/Reports/reports/null

Making the problem even more difficult to diagnose is that this doesn't happen every time, but it happens most of the time, and, as I said, it works for most people. The user is using IE 7 with Excel 2003 Standard edition.

Any ideas?
