Based on the following information available in the documentation of WebDesktop, there should be at least one Active Tab so that the only Tab left in the WebTab control can’t be closed. I’m afraid that it is not possible to create a WebTab without a tabpage active.

However, you may try the following workaround. The idea is simple. Create a WebTab with a single WebTabItem and then hide the TabPages object during OnInitialize client-side event.

A simple sample is enclosed as attachment. Please have the sample tested on your and let us know whether this helps or not.

Hi,

I have a webtab but I would like to create a tabpage after a button click.

I tried this, but a tabpage active is required.

Is it possible to create a webtab without a tabpage active ???
