Further analysisin the sample HyperFastWebComboWithLINQToSQLTechnology.aspx has resulted in the issue. The apostrophe data will not be searcahble if the WebCombo is a multiple columns WebCombo. A bug report has been submitted to our developer.

Webcombo Linq Datasource Apostrophe Problem

Thank you for your assistance. The example you created works fine with using OnInitializeDataSource, however if you follow the Walkthrough: Binding WebCombo to LinqDataSource, it does not work. Also the live example on the Intersoft website(High Performance Data Retrieval) does not work using the products webcombo. It does not find chef anton's. Using the OnInitializeDataSource as in your example is considerably slower with a large database.

Webcombo Linq Datasource Apostrophe Problem

Using the northwind.dbml which has already been provided in the WebCombo sample as the Linq to SQL datasource, I have found no problem in in finding apostrophe data. Attached is the simple sample that I used to test this issue. Searching for chef anton's will result in chef anton's Cajun Seasoning autocomplete.

If you have not done so, please use the latest WebCombo 4 and WebUI Framework 3 , which is build 216 and build 704 respectively.

Webcombo Linq Datasource Apostrophe Problem

I am having an issue with the WebCombo using a Linq to Sql datasource when the text contains an apostrophe. It works fine with a sql datasource, but when using Linq it does not find text containing Apostrophe's. Can anyone help me with a solution?
