How to use Reminders in WebScheduler (do they trigger any emails?)

Hi,

I have tried setting the reminder for an event. I was expecting that it would either show a popup as per the reminder start time setting and "time to reminder" (i actually selected 15 Mins) before setting of that event.

But i haven't seen anything like that though the event start time has passed.

Is there any customization that i need to do to show a popup window ?

Also please let me know whether we can trigger an email as per reminder settings?

I dont find any documentation for that, so please help me to get this addressed.

WebScheduler - Resizing Problem in Firefox and IE

Hello:

WebScheduler appears to be having a resizing problem in Firefox 9.0.1 and Internet Explorer 9.

Firefox 9.0.1:

Please open any Webscheduler sample from your site (for example FirstDayOfWeek.aspx or EventOrganizer.aspx) in Firefox 9.0.1and immedietaly toggle F11 (Full Screen) a few times. Everything wil work just fine. Next, please switch views, for exemple, Month to Week, or vice versa, and WebScheduler will stop resizing correctly; either a portion of the scheduler will disappear at the bottom of the screen (along with the bottom portion of the vertical scrollbar) when you exit Full Screen (See FirstDayOfWeek.aspx) or the scheduler will shift to toward the top of teh screen, leaving a large gap beneath it when you enter Full Screen (See EventOrganizer.aspx).

Also, in the Error Console, you will find multple occurences of the following error notification: Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Could not convert JavaScript argument arg 0 [nsIDOMHTMLDivElement.contains]" nsresult: "0x80570009 (NS_ERROR_XPC_BAD_CONVERT_JS)" location: "JS frame :: http://live.intersoftpt.com/cs/WebScheduler/ISRes.axd?F/ISCore.js :: doHideWindowPopups :: line 7" data: no]

Internet Explorer 9:

This resizing issue is less pronounced in IE9. Basically, the bottom portion of the vertical scrollbar disappears inside the bottom of the scheduler, on page load and when switching between normal and full screen. This behavior is not observed when IE9 is in compatibility mode, and this behavior does not occur in IE8.

Would you have a fix for the above, especially for Firefox?

Webscheduler Event Color Enhancement

I have a very specific requirement regarding my application that I am using the webscheduler for, specifically the month view mode.

Webscheduler seems to use the Resource color as the Event color "bar" when designating appointments.
Now I have a requirement like,

Each event has 3 parts.
Each part can be set to number of days.
The End Date will be calculated by adding the days for each part to the Begin Date
We want to display the line on the calendar covering the days in color blocks.

So for a event that is 1 day part1, 1 day part2 and 1 day part3 the schedule would show a band covering 3 days that is 1/3 color1; 1/3 color2; 1/3 color3;

So, main thing is that, can we have a single event with three different colors ?

Please tell me do I have any options or workarounds regarding this?

WebScheduler popup messages localization

Hi,

Webscheduler informs user with popup messages in different situations like:

when saving a new event if subject is empty you will get message saying: "Subject can´t be empty",

or when you did not select any resource and try to save event you will get message like "Resource can´t be empty".

These messages are in english, and I would like to localize them to have different languages depending on what is the culture setting in clients browser or server that WebScheduler is running on.

If it is not possible to have language in popup messages to change dynamically depending on browser culture then is it possible to change it by hardcoding and have the messages in language that customer wants?

WebScheduler customizing

Hi,

I have couple of questions concerning WebScheduler

1. I need to add one WebButton more to the NewEvent-form. How can I get this new button to use the same css-style (that is dynamically created in encoded .js-file for each control by it´s ID?) as the other buttons that are originally in the form.

2. How can I remove category color-combo, and validation for color selection from callOutManageCategories-WebCallOut? I don´t need color selection for Category.

3. WebScheduler is often crashing or behaving strange when I drag events from one time to another in WeekView. Sometimes event disappears after drag and drop, sometimes event don´t stay in the place where I drop it.

As instructions say, I have added class for table adapters that overload insert methods, so the Scheduler get´s new event´s ID after it is inserted.

Just now I tested in WeekView and after a couple of event moves it crashed with pop-up message saying: "Microsoft JScript runtime error: 'Parent' is null or not an object" and in code window is highlighted:" var va244 =v48910.Parent;"

I´m testing with XP SP3, IE8 and Firefox7 in VisualStudio 2008 and 2010 ASP.NET development server.

My website´s target framework is .NET Framework 3.5

ISnet reference build is 3.0.5000.1

Sales question : What other widgets come with WebScheduler?

We're evaluating WebScheduler at the moment, and we'd like to use a WebCombo in the editng form (to look up customer name).

Do we need to purchase WebCombo Separately to do so? Are any components bundled with WebScheduler, to use within it's edit form?

I know WebUI Studio for ASP bundles both, but that's very pricey, and I don't want/need all the stuff in there.

What's my best option to a) get websscheduler, b) Put a webcombo on it's editform.
