Crosslight development team has managed to resolve this issue.

Per my test, the reported problem is no longer persist now. Please update the NuGet package in order to apply the latest hotfix (Crosslight 5.0.5000.579) and feel free to let me know if you have different result.

I like the NuGet way the get updates and fixes really quick, but make sure that the quality of the product is still high. Fixing a bug fast and producing a new one with the bug fix is not the way it should be.

Hello Yudi,

I re-tested and unfortunately it is not fixed. The original bug is fixed with Crosslight 5.0.5000.571, but a new one appeared.

Start the app, open the drawer, change device orientation, select different menu item in drawer. App navigates but the drawer stays open and does not close automatically as intended.

Please fix. Again are real blocker.

CROS-1058 has been submitted to Crosslight development team regarding the reported problem. I will keep this thread updated with any news I heard from the team regarding CROS-1058.

Crosslight development team has resolved the problem reported under CROS-1058. The selected item of drawer is reset when device is rotated.

Hello Crosslight Support,

actually there is a bug in the material drawer. This seems to be a new issue because in the inital release I could not find the problem.

Tested on Motorola E2 API21 with Crosslight 5.0.5000.570

Open the expense app sample. Hold the device in portrait mode. Navigate to About This App. After navigating to the page, open the drawer. About This App is selected. Now, leave the drawer open and turn the device to landscape mode. The drawer is still open, but now Expenses is selected.

The drawer navigation gets out of sync when changing the device orientation. As mentoined above, this seems to be a new bug. Please fix. This is a real blocker.
