If you enable both editable and text search feature, UXCombobox automatically completes the text whenever it found a match in the items. However, the default behavior doesn’t refresh the list in its result box with the item selected that was returned in the text box of WebCombo.

For such requirement user experience, I’d like to suggest using UXDataComboBox control. Hope this helps.

UXComboBox

I see there was a dropdown in combobox, this problem might be relevant to something like data-binding of the combobox control. And what above said was really insightfull.
UXComboBox

Thank you for your recent inquiry regarding the combobox control of ClientUI suite.

I’d like to suggest you to check the UXDataComboBox control. UXDataComboBox is a queryable combo box control that utilizes the power of QueryDescriptor to search records in relatively large dataset.

The above screenshot shows the capability of UXDataComboBox to search the records in the server-side and returns only the matching result to the client-side. This operation is performed dynamically based on the keyword typed in the text box.

For more detail, please check the live sample of UXDataComboBox in here.

Hope this helps.

UXComboBox

I have a combobox that contains a list of objects. I have enabled search. The list box is expanded. How do I show the selected item in the list box after I typed a letter in the combobox for the search.

For example. I have the list open. I type "R" in the combobox. I want the list to refresh with the item selected that was returned in the text of the combo box.
