New ClientUI MVVM Business Application fails

We have several feedback regarding the issue, try to create MVVM Business App or Desktop App project using Intersoft project template.

You may want to check the thread “WCF RIA SP1” that discuss similar problem at http://www.intersoftpt.com/Community/ClientUI/WCF-RIA-SP1/ in our community site.

We have managed the issue as reported in the thread. The project template will be included in the release our Intersoft WebUI Studio 2011 R1 suite.

Could you please kindly let us know whether your MS Visual Studio 2010 is the SP1 version or the RTMRel version?

Ok it appears that it was not the install of v4 that caused this, as uninstalling it and revertign back to v3 did not fix it and the problem still remains. I did however let the update manager install an update just before all of this started, being that uninstalling and reinstalling any version is still having the issue I am assuming it has something to do with this update?

Is there any wya to completely remove / reset any and all updates or data files etc related to this to get a truly clean install? ie the update manager will hsow the updates as needed again and such? I do not remember what hte update was but it was the only non-blocked webstudio update and even after uninstalling and reinstalling it still says I have all the updates so whatever this update was it is not being removed with a normal uninstall.

Having a very similar issue trying to create the mvvm business or ClientUI Desktop applications in c#. I checked the vs2010 template directories and the zip file for the templates are there in both locations. All other templates seem to work fine but when attempting to use the mvvm business app or Desktop app templates it creates the App project then fails the App.web project with the followin error:

could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800300002 (STG_E_FILENOTFOUND))

Any ideas?

It seems that the project template cache may be corrupt.

I enclosed the project template of “Intersoft ClientUI MVVM Business Application” as attachment. Please download the attached “Intersoft ClientUI MVVM Business Application.zip” file and put it inside following locations.

%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Visual Studio 2010\Templates\ProjectTemplates\Visual Basic\Silverlight
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Visual Studio 2010\Templates\ProjectTemplates\Visual Basic\Intersoft Solutions\Silverlight

If it doesn’t help, be free to let us know.

Hello,

Whenever we start a new ClientUI MVVM Business application we get these two errors, happens in both VB + C#.

The file RegistrationDataResources.Designer.vb could not be found within the project templates. Continuing to run, but the take resulting project may not build properly.

The file ValidationErrorResources.Designer.vb could not be found within the project templates. Continuing to run, but the take resulting project may not build properly.

All other template types are fine.

Any clues?
