Some of your assemblies should not be existed in GAC. I attached my GAC screenshot after installed 2009R1SP1.

The error 'ISControl' is undefined, Object expected and 'IS' is undefined, usually happened when your project could not load Framework assemblies (sometimes resorces).
So, please ensure you added the assemblies correctly in your project bin folder.

To register SmartWebResources, you only need to right click at our control in design mode then choose Register SmartWebResources option.

Btw, I read at your previous reply that you mentioned something about deployment.
Please remember that, at deployment machine, you must not install our product in server.
All GAC and registries should be entirely clean from our product.

I have still problems, if I add framework assemblies in GAC (see Assemblies.jpg)

Why it does not work if I copy the assemblies into the GAC?

Please explain to me step by step, how I have to do.

Michael,

Please note that only framework assemblies should be put in GAC, so product assemblies such as ISNet.WebUI.WebGrid.dll and all *.Resources.dll shouldn't be in GAC.

If you have SmartWebResources registered properly, the JS files should be loaded without issues. Since you mentioned that "IS" is undefined, most chance is the JS files failed to be get loaded.

Could you inspect further by using HttpWatch and see the response of the ISRes.axd request?

Hi James

Because I have deleted all dll from the GAC, I can't execute Deployment and License Manager! So I install Framework dll in GAC again (with Drag-Drop). Now I have the same Errormessage 'ISControl' is undefined!

Where can I find more about refresh file?

By the way: Wath means AFAIK?

Michael,

AFAIK, all ISNet assemblies should remain in GAC for designer, editor, wizard and other use in Visual Studio designer. Re-adding the dlls to your project should resolve the problem.

The references refreshing is required because new installation updates only the assemblies in the program files which would be automatically consumed for new projects. However, the new installation won't affect your existing projects, so you still have to refresh your project references manually after fresh installation.

Another note is, if you have proper references with auto refresh file, you can easily update the references by right click on it, and then choose Update References, or you can do "Rebuild Solution". However, note that this will work only if your references are properly pointed to the original files path (not pointing to bin or other places).

I have added all dll from instal folder and deleted all ISNet assemblies in GAC. It seems to work.

Why is this necessary after a new installation?

Michael,

Please make sure that the Framework assemblies have been updated properly in your project. If you're using SmartWebResources, make sure all *.Resources.dll are updated. The resources assemblies should match the component assembly version.

After SP1 Installation I get following Runtimeerrors: 'ISControl' is undefined, Object expected and 'IS' is undefined.

I have only one Page with WebFileUploader in my Project.

Fileversion ISNet.WebUI.WebTextEditor: 1.0.1000.4
