As you might noticed, our behavior is basically based on what SQL is capable. If we do not set the time, by default, it will return us a value of 12:00:00 AM or 00:00:00 AM. So, you will need to specify the time as well to get the particular value. In other hand, perhaps you can change the filter type into Between, for example, 10/15/2010 and 10/16/2010. Those will give us all the data for one day of 10/15/2010.

Although, you can create your own validation on your back end using initializePostBack and override the filter type, however, it will be so complicated since we do not support this kind of scenario.

I hope it helps. Thank you and have a nice day.

Best Regards,

I noticed that the filter bar does not always work for dates as I would expect it to. If the date's time of day compoment is 12:00 am and so the date is something like '10/15/2010 12:00:00 am', then if I enter a short date like 10/15/2010, the filter will return proper results. If however the time of day is something other than 12:00 am, like 1:30 pm, then the date will not be returned by the filter.

The only way I can get the date to be found by the filer is if I enter the excact value '10/15/2010 1:30 pm', but that's not very intuitive for the users

Is there a way I cand get aroud this problem?
