Sorry for the l8te respons i fixed the issue it was because i did not load the Layout isl file on postbacks only on full postbacks.

its working now :)

Hello Rolf,

Please let me know the current browser that you use to replicate the issue.
If I am not mistaken, this issue only happens at mozila.
In cell style or column, please try to see if there is any Overflow style and remove it.
It should work fine after removed that style.
However, If my suggestion does not help, please send me your WebGrid structure. I need it to investigate your issue.

As shown in the screenshot below i have a problem with the text inside cells not cutting off based on the width on the cell.

I have been reading on your community alot and i havent found a solution on this Error.

I have tried the following:

Setting TextboxMaxLenght i belive this was the trick in the older webgrids when running HTML doc type but we are running XHTML doc type now.

AutoFitColumns="true" this did not help either.

The only way i made it work was to make the width on the cell long enough to be able to contain the whole text.

Is there a setting i can set to make it cut off the text if the text is longer than the cell or make it displayed as this?

Some text... <-- ... showing that there are more text than showing
