Unfortunately the SetCurrentPageIndex function is only available in WebGrid 7.

In WebGrid 6, the available function is the GoToPage which is a javascript function that you have already mentioned in your first post.

Currently I do not have any workaround to set the current page index in the server side for WebGrid 6.

I downloaded and installed the last version and latest hotfix 6.0.7200.219 and there is not such a function. I'm attaching some screenshots. There is a GetCurrentPageIndex funtion do.

In the latest build of WebGrid, a new server side function has been added in order to set the paging page from the server side. The function is SetCurrentPageIndex.

You could try using this server side function in order to accomplish your goal.

Hi.

I want to persist the actual page index in a session variable so then the next time the page loads, load the last page viewed.

I´m using classic paging with a ObjectDataSource control.

For example, the first time the page loads shows a total of 10 pages, the user navigates to the 5th, then select a row to perform actions in other pages, after all the actions in those several pages the user returns to the original one, and the first page loaded in that page should be the 5th.

I noticed there is a javascript function WebGrid.GotoPage(), but i want to avoid round trips to the database.

¿How can i accomplish this?
