I would not say this is a known issue of the dock, but simply the design and built-in behavior of the ChildWindow itself.

ClientUI brings a more advanced windowing concept, where dialog box and window can be integrated to the desktop, as well as to the dock. This enables a dialog box, or a window, to become aware of the existence of the task bar in the page, and provides a special treatment for that. For more information, you can read my blog post here.

The windowing and desktop controls are available for you to use if you already reference the ClientUI assemblies in your project. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hope this helps,
Jimmy

UXDock and ChildWindow

Is there a known issue with the UXDock control and ChildWindow? Previously our app was using the WebFishEye control which worked fine with Silverlight's built-in ChildWindow however after upgrading to the latest ClientUI there seems to be an issue with how the UXDockButtons appear when the ChildWindow is active.

Normal:

With ChildWindow active:
