Please try to ensurethat CabinDB.mdf and CabinDB_log.ldf files is not read-only. Please try to dothe following steps in order to set those files to become not read-only.

Open "%ProgramFiles%\Intersoft Solutions\Intersoft WebUI Studio 2012 R1\Samples\SL5\cs\ClientUI Samples\Intersoft.ClientUI.Samples.Web" folder. For 64-bit operating system, the folder location is "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Intersoft Solutions\Intersoft WebUI Studio 2012 R1\Samples\SL5\cs\ClientUI Samples\Intersoft.ClientUI.Samples.Web".
Find App_Data folder; right click the folder; and select "Properties".In General tab of App_Data Properties window, untick/uncheck the Read-only attributes.
Click OK to apply the changes.
Rebuild the project and test whether the changes helps or not

Should the problem persist, you may need to set the permission. I usually add "everyone" and set full control permission.

Started getting the following error when running the sample for CabinFront Reservation.

Any idea what the proble could be?

Load operation failed for query 'GetReservations'. The underlying provider failed on Open. InnerException message: Database '4F7623BAF3C7BA3C93C183F6DCEF803E_DIO 2012 R1\SAMPLES\SL5\CS\CLIENTUI SAMPLES\INTERSOFT.CLIENTUI.SAMPLES.WEB\APP_DATA\CABINDB.MDF' cannot be upgraded because it is read-only or has read-only files. Make the database or files writeable, and rerun recovery.

An attempt to attach an auto-named database for file C:\Program Files\Intersoft Solutions\Intersoft WebUI Studio 2012 R1\Samples\SL5\cs\ClientUI Samples\Intersoft.ClientUI.Samples.Web\App_Data\CabinDB.mdf failed. A database with the same name exists, or specified file cannot be opened, or it is located on UNC share.
