Maintaining consistent look and feel across the whole application is a daunting task without some sort of a centralized mechanism to manage styles. The WebStyleManager is created to accommodate these needs to allow designers and developers to easily apply consistent styles and behaviors to Intersoft WebUI.NET® family components with minimal efforts.
WebStyleManager is built to harness the power of the Theme Architecture and Serialization features which are part of the Intersoft WebUI.NET Framework.
Stand-alone Application
As a stand-alone application WebStyleManager does not need Visual Studio 2005 installed to be used. You can use WebStyleManager on the production server provided you have .NET Framework 2.0 and the required Intersoft WebUI.NET family components installed. The latter means you need to have, for example, WebGrid.NET installed so you can create or edit the style of the WebGrid in your Web application.
And of course, WebStyleManager would be integrated into Visual Studio 2005 if you have it installed prior to the WebDesktop.NET installation.
One-click Deployment
One-click deployment is made possible thanks to Intersoft WebUI.NET Theme Architecture. With this feature you can deploy your newly created or edited theme to your production server by clicking the Deploy Theme button. This is possible because the theme definition is stored in one file (istheme.config) that can simply be copied to the Web application's root directory. The Theme Architecture will then read the file and apply styles to your components according to the definitions.
Previewing and Saving Layout for Multiple Components
WebStyleManager is designed so that it can be used to edit styles for all Intersoft WebUI.NET family components, thus providing flexibility. Previewing and saving newly created or edited layout can be done in one style manager.
