Glossary Item Box

Gets or sets the parameter or data that will be passed to client side event when the button is clicked.

Remarks

This property can be set in both server side and client side to pass information during postbacks. For example, you may want to set some data or flag which need to be passed during postback. First, you need to set the Parameter property in client side. The information in Parameter property can then be accessible in OnClick server side event, exactly in the Parameter property of the event argument.

Target Platforms: Windows 7, Windows Vista SP1 or later, Windows XP SP3, Windows Server 2008 (Server Core not supported), Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server Core supported with SP1 or later), Windows Server 2003 SP2
