Hello,
We have a problem with the VistaCalendar CustomEditor.
If we use the following line of code in our WebControl the data changes made in this kind of column aren't recognized by the batch update mechanism (0 pending changes). So changes aren't saved.
<ISWebGrid:WebGridColumn Caption="SOLL/IST-T." HeaderTooltip="SOLL/IST-Termin" DataMember="Meilenstein_IstTermin" DataType="System.DateTime" DataFormatString="dd.MM.yyyy" Name="Meilenstein_IstTermin" Width="85" CustomEditorName="VistaCalendar" EditType="Custom">
When using 'EditType="CalendarDropdown"' instead of 'CustomEditorName="VistaCalendar" EditType="Custom"' the changes are recognized correctly (1 pending change).
We use WebGrid 7 Version 7.0.7200.417.
Do you have an idea how to solve this problem?
Thanks in advance!
Martin
Thank you for your report. I can replicate the issue as well. The pending changes is not triggered because markdirty fails. Without batchupdate, it also returns into original value after refresh. I will forward the issue to our developer teams.
Regards,Handy
Hello Handy, how is the status of this issue? Thanks and regardsMartin
Hello Martin,
The issue would bbe fixed in the next release. Please let me know if you have something urgent needed or ET regarding this issue. I would try my best to ask our developer teams.
Is there any update on this? We've also run into this problem.
What is the date of the R2 release?
Thanks!
We are planning to have a release at the earlier November. Hope we can also deliver the fix at the time.
Hi Handy,
It's mid-november now. Is the R2 release coming soon?
Is there a web page, rss feed or mailing list that will alert me about the R2 release? How do I sign up?
Hi,
Apologize for the delay. We have something that make the release delayed. But we do try to release at this month. When we have relased it, we would announce it in our WebSite. We also send a newsletter about this to our registered customer. So, I believe you would also get this message after we released the product.
We just upgraded to the new R2 release but this bug still seems to be there. Can you confirm whether this issue is supposed to be fixed? Perhaps we're just doing something wrong, but the problem is still as described in the original post above.
Thanks for looking into this for us.
I will surely follow up back this issue and back to you when I got news.
Handy,
We're still waiting for a reply. Can you confirm whether there's some way to work around this issue in R2?
The fix has been confirmed. It would be ready in our hotfixes releases on March. Unfortunately, there is no workaround for now.
Any update on this issue? Will we be seeing a hotfix soon?
Thanks for any information you can give us.
Yes, It has been fixed. Please try to get the update from UpdateManager.
