We reported this issue earlier here:
http://intersoftpt.com/Community/WebGrid/ChromeFirefox-Header-alignment-is-incorrect/
Now the same issue has popped up in Safari 6 for mac. We're using WebGrid 8.0.7200.101 which appears to be the latest version.
Any tips to work around this issue, or any chance you can fix it?
Thanks!
Hello,
So, the current sample is same as before but only in different browser? Can you try to enable WebGrid in HTML5 mode in safari?
Regards,Handy
Yes that's correct, it looks the same as when we reported the issue before, but in Safari 6 for Mac.
I don't have access to our testing mac machine at the moment so I can't check out your HTML5 suggestion. However our product currently uses XHTML and it's not possible to switch our product to HTML5 in the near future.
Thanks for your help.
Ok. Thank you for the confirmation. I will let you know when it has been fixed.
Can you give us an update on this issue? It is affecting many of our mac users since they mostly use Safari.
Can you try to use our latest hotfixes? Our current WebGrid 8 build is 251. In January hotfixes, our developer fixed some layout issues. WebUIFramework needs to be latest in order to see the best result.
I was experiencing the same header alignment issue in Safari on the Mac.
I applied the latest hotfix (WebGrid 8, Build 251) - this does not fix the problem.
I tried rendering the WebGrid in HTML5 mode in Safari - this fixes the problem.
Regards,
Mike
Our developer has confirmed this issue. This is a bug in Safari 6 while in HTML4 doctype. Somehow, the table behave strangly in here. We will try to see if there is a workaroung to avoid this issue or not. But it would not in the short time.
