Hi Huzefa,

1) I have attach the simple sample for you of how to manually update the footer using Javascript.

2) It should has nothing to do with the WebInput. In the sample I use the WebInput as the CustomEditor and it works just fine.

3) If you use the DataSource control, the DataType property will automatically follow the data type of the database if you don't assign it.

Hope it helps.

Hi,

The version number should be generated automatically. About the license key, yes, you need to re-generate the runtime license key everytime you make a major change.

Hi,

You can't combine the AutoComplete and InstantLookup EntryMode togehter. You can only use either AutoComplete or InstantLookup. When using the InstantLookup, user can still filter when typing text by pressing enter. The OnKeyDown property has a different behaviour that it can run after you type two letters so it's not really fit to use that event. You can try to filter by using the InitializeDataSource event and set the AllowAutoQueryHandler property to false.

Hi,

1. If you're using Batch Update the Automatic Update won't work because it has to AcceptAllChanges to do the update on the footer, so the update will work after you're klik the AcceptAllChanges button.

2. I don't really get your question here. Could you explain in more detail?

3. The DataType property is used to get or set the data type of the column.

Hi Huzefa,

Have you set the UpdateCommand in the datasource? You need to add the UpdateCommand so that the Auto Footer Update can work. Here I attach a simple sample for you.

Hope it helps.

WebGrid has an option to show grandtotal of each group and total of all group. Here, I attach the simple sample for you. Or you could see in our WebGrid sample called CustomAggregation, ColumnTotal, and GroupRowInfoFormat for reference.

Hi,

We have samples of self referencing WebGrid in our WebGrid samples, such as: SelfReferencingGrid, SelfReferencingGrid_ChildSort, SelfReferencingWithHierarchicalGrid, and SelfRef_LoadOnDemandChildRetrieval.

Regarding the other question, terribly sorry that I don't really get your question. Could you explain in more detail about what scenario that you want to achieve?
