I couldn't replicate your issue in my local end. Our control works perfectly in VS2010 and VS2012 at my local end. Could you let me know the environment or the steps to replicate your issue in our local end? You can try to add our control manually using Choose Item option on context menu in ToolBox (right click on ToolBox). Hope this helps.

I couldn't replicate your issue here. This problem might happen because WebGrid couldn't communicate to server. But based on issue that you described above, I assume that WebGrid maybe refresh its data continously or some code might request to server continously. If possible, could you send us a simple sample that can replicate your issue in our local end or maybe you can explain us the scenario that you want to achieve? I also attach my sample here to show you how to make interaction between 2 WebGrids. Hope my sample can help you to achieve your scenario. I think this problem might happen because it's default behavior from MSSQL and Access database datetime data type. Actually, our filter will put the parameter inside filter column to server side then it will re-query the data using SQL statement (in this case using "equals to"). We also found out that this matter happen in MSSQL and Access database.
I also tried to convert the data type from datetime to date when selecting. but this method won't work for filtering. Maybe if you want, I will made this as feature request so our developer team will look further for this matter and if possible they will made a workaround regarding this problematic behavior.

This problem might be happen because the connection from server to database cannot established. Please ensure the connection between your website to your database has been has been successfully configured.
This problem also happen in WebGrid Unbound mode. When WebGrid Unbound mode do FlyPostBack, it would show this error message because WebGrid Unbound mode won't find the database. Hope this helps.
I tried to replicate your issue in our local end using WebGrid with DateTime data inside it. However, when I filter the data using Date only, it only shows the data which have the same date (I don't have to put the time). I also attach my sample here. Sorry for late responses. You can change the image by using OnAfterInitialize event on client-side. However we still searching a way to do this matter on server side. I've made a sample for this matter. In my sample, I change the image regarding the value of ContactTitle. Is this method works on your side? Hope this helps.
