Hi,

Already ISRoWChecker=true is set for the checkbox.

Please let me know what else could be the reason.

Why Webgrid1.RootTable.Rows[i] is coming as null after doing the loadmore for the newly loaded rows after clicking the loadmore icon.

regards,

Madhavan

Hi glenn,

Actually our functioanlity is tio load the detailsgrid on row select of left grid.

on Rowselect event of left grid we are getting ISGetobject("Rightgridid")  and then doing the RefreshAll.

And also the the javascript functions are in separate js file and we are not able to access teh clientId of webgrid in js function.

Is there anyway we can do this in a generic way.

Regards,

madhavan

Hi Handy,

Any workaround for this without fullpostback.

Because same scenario is working fine in webgrid 6 in our product.

Our client will want the same feature if we migrate our product updates which is using webgrid 7.

We have to support this feature.

Please advice.

Madhavan

Hi Andi,

Please find the attached sample with Northwind db.

This sample is for the scenario of

1.First do a grouping a column using Grouping by this field.

2.Then click on Enable check button.

3.It throws the Javascript error ( 'children.0.scrollWidth' is null or not an object) is thrown after enabling the checkbox.

Hi Handy,

Actually in our original code AllowMultipleSelection is not there.

In the replicated sample I was trying some thing and that;s why by mistake AllowMultipleSelection  tag was there.

Even with removing AllowMultipleSelection  tag and enabling rowchecker feature gives the same problem.

Even with removing AllowMultipleSelection  tag and disabling rowchecker feature gives the same problem.

Our product is working fine with this scenario in Webgrid 6.Only in Webgrid 7 we are facing this problem. Please advice.

Madhavan

Hi Andi,

I explicitly added the below tag in web.config file, but  still the grid showing Chinese language.

<globalization culture="en-US" uiCulture="en-US" requestEncoding="utf-8" responseEncoding="utf-8"/>

Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture returns "zh-CN" and Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentUICulture returns "en-US" in the application. Which culture the web grid is using for showing the language.

After removing the TextSettings="useCulture"  from the grid, language is displaying in English. But I need resolution without removing Text settings. If any other application is running with Chinese culture will affect the current application?

Please help to resolve this issue.

Madhavan

Hi Andi,

one question to clarify.

Suppose say if the APplication is deployed in a server which is having US language settings.

We are accessing from client machine which is having different language settings say french will the grid show in English or french.

Can you tell the functionality of grid on how it behaves with TextSettings="useCulture"

Please advice.

Hi Julia,

However from IE7/IE8 there is native  XmlHttpRequest and you do no need ActiveX to be enabled for your browser.
You can find more details bellow:
http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2006/01/23/516393.aspx
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms537505(VS.85).aspx

Why for grid we need to enable Activex in IE settings?

Can you please elaborate?

Hi Yudi,

There are lot of customers using our product which is internally using Webgrid 6.0.

We can upgrade to Webgrid7 only for our new version of our product.

For existing version of our product we have to use Webgrid 6 only.

please provide a fix for this issue.

Regards.
