Hello David,

Do you have any working sample that replicates your issue?

Have you set the DocumentMode to Quirks mode in your browser.

The issue doesn't occur on my end. I'm using IE9, but when I run the project, I change the browser mode to IE8 and DocumentMode to IE8 standards or quirks mode.

Thank you.

Hello Peter,

I apologize for any inconvenience this problem may have caused you.

Your project works fine on my end since my environment is using IE9 instead of IE8.

I have asked my colleague, Yudi, to help me testing your provided sample in his environment since he is using IE8.

I will ask him to test both build 419 and 431, and see how the result is. I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Thank you.

Hello Peter,

Please have a look at the following thread:
http://intersoftpt.com/Community/WebDesktop/Problem-with-latest-installation-616/

I believe this member has the same issue like yours. He was using RowChecker as well. However, one of my colleague has tested the latest build 431 in IE8 and it works fine.

In the thread, a video is attached to show how the issue is fixed.

Please let me know if I miss something that needs to be configured.

Thank you.

Hello,

The issue doesn't occur in IE9. Does the issue occur when you do sorting / grouping? Does the error occur when you select row using RowChecker?

I have reported this issue again to the developer team. Maybe they missed something on the previous fix.

I will ask my colleague, Yudi to test the hotfix on his end as well, since he is using IE8 in his environment.

I will keep you inform with the update.

Thank you.

Hello Peter,

The issue doesn't occur when I use IE9. It seems that this issue only occurs when we use IE8.

I have reported this issue as a regression bug since it was working fine in build 419.

Actually, the developer team has addressed this issue and fixed in build 431, but it seems that the issue still exists.

I have forwarded your inquiry to them to be investigated and fixed as soon as possible.

I will let you know the update.

Thank you.

Hello,

You should use System.Threading.Current.CultureInfo.CurrentCulture. Note that this is not a WebGrid's properties since this issue is related to ISDataSource instead.

Hope this helps. Thank you.

Hello James,

I just got the update from the developer team.

Currently our products including WebGrid is not designed for compatibility view because it’s IE specific stuff. Our tools basically render the pages based on the specified document type. However, the compatibility mode causes the rendering to use old browser mode while our library still consider it as XHTML.

Therefore, they highly suggest the users to use pure standards mode and leave the compatibility view for best results.

Hope this helps. Thank you.
