Hi Handy,
This is not about the fix for the slider which is solved in WebGrid 7. My open question is how to achieve my requirements without a crash of WebGrid and without making two database requests. You said you were checking with your developers on how to achieve this. That's what I'm waiting for.

This is bad news. But at least now we know how to continue (replace WebGrid with something else). Thanks for your answer. But please still update this thread if you have implemented this change.
We need to try asap if the new version resolves our problems or if we have to replace all our grids with another product. Therefore we need this beta as soon as possible. Please update me.

I know that there will be some issues installing it. We didn't even buy v7 yet. But I'm sure we will find a way to test it.
But I think the most important issue is if this feature is already implemented or not. Instead of waiting for news, maybe you can ask them for the status?
In an earlier post (see above) you promised me a beta as soon as this feature is built into your code. Or did I misunderstand you there? You don't have to make a public beta because of that.
I don't need an installer. Actually I could just place the DLLs into the bin folder of my project - that should be sufficient, right?
I will have to talk with our compliance department if it is possible to send you more details by email. Please give me the email where you want to receive this. Maybe I can send you the code parts of the pages that crash if I anonymize some things there. Also you don't have the database, which we cannot disclose, so the code won't work anyway - they will remain snippets.
But in any case, please note that this won't help you to reproduce the problem. Even if you would set up the same project in a working environment, it might not happen for you. Maybe upgrading to a newer operating system (currently Windows 2000 Advanced Server) or a newer WebGrid version may help.
Also, you cannot tell if it is solved if it doesn't occur for one month, because it only happens from time to time. So how would you debug this? I can try to setup the same debugging environment (or logs). So if you need to know what happens with a specific request, I can try to log that. Just tell me what you need to watch. I think this is the best approach.
Actually I cannot post the full code or so. I can give you information on what events we use or whatever information you need.
We might also be able to add additional logging into every event or whatever you want. I'm just expecting some help to narrow down the problem. I understand that it is very difficult for you to help if you cannot reproduce it on your side. But I need some information on where to continue logging/debugging. Right now I can only see that it's a problem caused by WebGrid.
Is there a beta available in the meantime that already has this change built-in? It doesn't matter if there are other bugs, but we would like to test it as soon as possible if it solves these filter problems. You wanted to release 2011 R1 end of Q1, so I thought a beta should be ready in the meantime?
