You need android:numeric="integer" in your Edit Text, normally it return string even you choose numeric, i don't know why maybe bug from Xamarin.

Or you can put it inside a string first then parse it into integer..., if the bug still persist please do tell us

For first questions, looks like it can be done in template selector if what you meant using non-custom cells?

For seconds questions, as far as i know android is already dynamic, for iOS we already have the code, you can check it in our Message Input Sample.

I will ask this to our developer, but as far as i know it will be very hard and maybe impossible because android need to count the width first which actually done in when initializing, so if you dynamically add new tab, i don't think it is possible.

But i will report back to you and hopefully create a sample for this scenario.

If you want you could tell us your scenario, maybe we can helps give a better, safer alternative and more compliance with standard of each platform.

I think the problem is because you also need to add code in the view model and binding provider which you can see here and here
