&lt;p&gt;Yes it is possible. You can get information of WebGrid's that called inside WebTab's iframe. Here I attach my simple sample for you, please find rar file name CallFromInsideIFrame.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I have a web tab that contains two different aspx page (using ContentUrl).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Each pages in the webtab contain a WebGrid, the WebTab has Autopostback enabled  and i use the event TabChange.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Inside tab change using WebTabChangedEventArgs I can se 2 webTabItem (fromTab and toTab).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It's is possible using  this two webtabitem read the information about the webgrid contained inside the contenturlPage?&lt;/p&gt;
