Since both PC are not the same machine. Even though users succed to import the registry, when they applied it, the design time in visual time would not work. I still suggest you to resolve first by tracking which email that you used.

Regards,
Handy

WebGrid.NET 4

Hi again,

Well actually I found the solution and now my WebGrid 4 works under my 64 bits Windows.

I just forgot that when importing my license number in the registry, the registry keys have to be inserted under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node and not directly under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE like on an x86 system.

Eric

WebGrid.NET 4

Hi,

Thank you for your response but unfortunately I can't login to developer network as it's not me who puchased the product and I don't know which email was used to do this purchase.

Before to format the hard drive of my web server and re-install everything I wanted to make a first test on another machine. The test machine is a 32 bits Windows XP and I just made the following test...

- Installing my web application on the test machine

- Copying the Intersoft Solutions application folder from my web server to my test machine

- Exporting from my web server the registry keys related to Intersoft and importing them on my test machine (the registry contains my WebGrid 4 license number)

The result is that WebGrid 4 works very well under my web application on this test machine.

But I was thinking to install a 64 bits Windows Server 2008 R2 on my web server, so before to do that I made a second test on a second test machine with Windows Server 2008 R2. This second test is similar to the first one:

- Installing my web application on the 64 bits test machine

- Copying the Intersoft Solutions application folder from my web server to my

64 bits test machine

- Exporting from my web server the registry keys related to Intersoft and

importing them on my 64 bits test machine

But then, when I run my web application on this 64 bits test machine with a 32 bits enabled app pool under IIS, the WebGrid component displays the following:

WebGrid.NET
- Unlicensed version

The system is unable
to find the license needed to run this component.

Then, do you know if WebGrid 4 can work on a 64 bits operating system?

Thanks.

However, I think you can still get the installer. Please login into developer network by using email that you used to purchased the product. Under MyComponents>>FullVersion>>See your product list. The link of installer should be there.

is that I need to format my hard drive and re-install everything on it,
including WebGrid.NET 4, but I can’t find the setup application for WebGrid 4.

have a link where I could download WebGrid 4?
