WebGrid 9 issue in Chrome - infinite recursion in SafariEngine._EmulateXmlDocument

Several months ago, we have released nightly build of WebUI.NET Framework (build 976) which includes the fix for rendering issue of WebUI control on latest Chrome browser; and Safari browser runnning on iOS 10. You can download the nightly build hotfix from here.

WebGrid 9 issue in Chrome - infinite recursion in SafariEngine._EmulateXmlDocument

While loading the WebGrid 9.0.7200.1 (an older project) in Chrome, the WebGrid doesn’t initialize properly. It causes a stack overflow error:

ISRes.axd?F/Safari.js/305000975:formatted:158 Uncaught RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded(…)(anonymous function) @ ISRes.axd?F/Safari.js/305000975:formatted:158(anonymous function)

I have included screenshots of the grid and from the Developer Toolbar while its stuck in recursion.

It doesn’t seem to occur in other browsers like IE, FireFox or Safari.

Do you know if this has been resolved in WebGrid 10?
