I never had any problems licensing the WebGrid 6. I also have checked it on VS 2008 design mode and on browser.

Could you please check whether your new Windows 7 computer is connected to internet directly or through proxy server. If it is connected through proxy server, then you have to set the ‘Proxy Settings…’ in Intersoft License Manager 2.0 before registering the license.

Please let me know your response.

Trouble Registering License in Windows 7 / IIS 7.5

May I know does the version of the Windows 7 that you are currently used?
Is it Windows 7 32 bit or 64 bit?

Trouble Registering License in Windows 7 / IIS 7.5

I recently received a new computer at the office with Windows 7. After installing the Intersoft WebGrid Enterprise version 6.2, I am getting the error message indicating my copy is not licensed.

I am running:
Windows 7 (IIS 7.5)
Visual Studio 2008 SP1
WebGrid 6.2 R2

Here is what I did for the install:

When installing, I used the latest version available - webuistudionet2008r2sp1setup.msi. I ran the install using RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.

I then ran the License Manager using RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR and registered my license key (the developer key, not the run time key) - which is @#$%&-*@#$-%&*@#. The license manager indicated it was installed properly and shows Valid.

I then ran the UpdateManager to get the latest Framework and WebGrid updates (late October dates on these).

I restarted IIS on my computer, and opended Visual Studio 2008. The Intersoft toolbox items are there. My project is referencing the asssemblies correctly with no errors.

Just for grins, I repeated the process - I ran License Manager (AS ADMIN), remove the license, and re-added it. Still shows valid.

I am still getting the license error message. I saw an article about installing r2 on Windows Vista and it said to run the license manager as ADMIN (which I did) and remove and re-add the license key. This didn't apply to me since I was starting on a fresh computer, and as I mentioned, I did run the license utility as an administrator.

I am in a tight squeeze to get this running ASAP, and was hoping to avoid 1 email per day round trips since I know you guys are on a different timezone. How can I resolve this?

Thanks.

*Edited reason : license key should be kept confidentially.
