Please forgive me for lack of understanding about the scenario.

I assume that you would like to update or set other cell’s text by using JavaScript. If my assumption is correct, please try to use SetText method of WebGrid.

You may refer to the “How-to: Set text to a specific cell” article that is available in the WebGrid documentation. OnExitEditMode client-side event of WebGrid would probably suitable for your scenario.

When I finish editing the contents of a cell, after the cursor leaves the current cell,

then i wanna update the other cell's contents go through JavaScript?
