Hello,

Can I know your WebGrid 7 build version? As far I know the latest build 419, has a bug when running clientbinding mode. This issue has been address and should be fixed in the next release.

When I enable client binding in a sample I got an error.

Is it correct code?

Hello Nick,

You can try the normal server binding sample and enable client binding properties. When running in the browser, please use HTTP watch, you can see that JSON is generated.

I want to be sure that data sent to client from a server is in a JSON format. Can you provide simple code sample for a WebGrid

Hello,

As far I know JSON is only designed for client-binding. But If I am not mistaken, we can enable client binding but still use server mode. I already checked by using HTTP watch and JSOn would be generated.
However, it is still unclear about what you wanted to do in your scenario.

I am using webGrid 7 and would like to swith to get a data in a JSON format. Is it possible to do it if I am using server databainding? My understanding is that now JSON is available only for ClientDataBinding mode (meaning SilverLight grid). Is it correct?
