Hi,

It returns correctly in server because the disable state does not have any effect in server. It only affects in client. That's why GetCheckedRows() in javascript always returns 0. As I said before, you need to DO this manually.

First, get the parent row collection. This can be accessed by using WebGrid1.TotalRows(). Next, check each rows whether they are checked or not. To check its checked or not during disable state, you would need to access the checkbox element. e.g (wgCellByName(rowposition,”name of checkbox”).children[0].checked method) With this way, you can know how many rows that checked.

But if i set the e.Row.Checked=True in the Initialize Row Method,the GetCheckedRows() method will return me the correct count even if it is disabled.
But if i do the Row.Checked=true in the client side,The GetCheckedRows() methods returning zero.

Please give me how to get the parent row collection and get the checkbox status in client side script.
When i tried this way it shows checked status as false.

Hi,

I think you cannot using GetCheckedRows method, because it is impossible if checkbox is in disabled mode.
For the solution you need to get parent row collection and check the collection whether the checkbox state is true or not.

Hi,

I am rendering Hierarchical table structure in Webgrid.

I am setting the e.Row.Cells[0].ForceNoEdit = true; for some rows based on some condition.

I have a scenario like i have two childs rows for a parent row.the check box for the parent row is in disabled mode and the check box for the child can be checked.

So if i check the child rows the parent of the child also will be getting chekced.But it will be in disabled mode.

The problem i am facing is while saving the rows i want to get all the checked rows buy using the code grid.RootTable.GetCheckedRows().Since the parent row is in disabled mode the GetCheckedRows() is returning count as 0
