The ISNet.Nevron.Charting.dll assembly file can be downloaded from here. Please check my previous post on February 14, 2010 for step by step to use the Nevron chart-engine.

Glad to hear that the problem solved.

We recommend you to use our built-in chart engine since it will be the platform development of charting feature of WebGrid.

Unfortunately, currently the built-in engine not support ‘ChartHeader’ feature yet. You may use the ‘Nevron’ chart engine for such scenario that needs ‘ChartHeader’ feature.

The contra side of using the ‘Nevron’ chart engine is that if there is any issue or problem regarding the chart engine usage, we won’t provide hotfix of the corresponding issue or problem, since it is third party component.

Thanks, that does solve the problem. The answer does however promt another question. Is there any down side to switching to the Neron engine? Based on a recommendation a year ago I switched to the built-in engine because I was led to beleave that it would be the platform for future developement. Having said that the chart headings are important to what I am doing.

Currently, with the built-in chart engine, the ‘ChartHeader’ feature is not enabled yet. It is still under development for enhancement. I suggest you to use the Nevron chart-engine in order to have the ChartHeader feature enabled.

Please follow the steps below in order to use Nevron chart-engine.

Specify and set the value of ‘ChartEngine’ property to ‘Nevron’.

<ChartSettings ChartEngine="Nevron">
...
</ChartSettings>

Add ISNet.WebUI.WebGrid.ChartEngine.dll and ISNet.Nevron.Charting.dll file into the bin folder of your project.

I am having a problem getting the Chart heading to display on my charts. I have attempted using client settings:

I have also attempted to set them on the server:

ChartSettings chartSettings = WebGrid1.ChartSettings; chartSettings.HeaderSettings.Text = "ACTUAL HOURS BY CHARGE NUMBER";

Niether of these approaches work.
