This issue only happens in WebGrid 6 and has been fixed in WebGrid 7. I have tested the same scenario using WebGrid 7 latest build that comes with Intersoft WebUI Studio 2009 R2 SP1 installer.

I suggest you to upgrade your WebGrid to WebGrid 7 since we’re no longer provide hotfix for WebGrid 6.

Hi Yudi,

I found scenario which is causing the problem.Scenario is

First if you do a RefreshAll in the grid and then click the checkbox and check the getchecked rows in server side it will return as zero.

Please advice.

I made a test page based on your information about your scenario. I created a web user control that contains WebGrid (with RestoreRowSelection enabled), ASP.NET Button, and an ASP.NET TextBox. The button is used to get checked rows and display the key value of the checked rows in the ASP.NET TextBox.

Next, I drag and drop this web user control to a page and test your scenario by clicking the asp.net button. GetCheckedRows() method works as expected and the textbox will display the list of key value of the rows that being checked.

I enclosed the web user control sample that I use in order to test your issue. Could you please kindly test the attached sample and let us know the result? If there is any information that I miss during my attempt to test your issue, please make any changes to the sample file so that it will replicates the issue and then have the sample sent back to us for further investigation.

For your information, I use WebGrid 7.0 build 401 and WebUI.NET Framework 3.0 build 751.

Hi All,

We are using Webgrid in our webcontrol and we found one strange behaviour.

our Webcontrol is loading the Ascx page which is having the webgrids.

We are having a checkbox with RowChecker feature.

Based on the Selection of Checkboxes we are perfoming some operation in server side.

So we are using GetCheckedRows() method in server side.

GetCheckedRows() count is returning fine if we do not set the property "RestoreRowSelection".

If we set the property "RestoreRowSelection" then the GetCheckedRows() count is returning as zero even though the checkboxes are checked.

Please suggest what could be the reason..
