Hi Ahmed,

Is the issue still occurs on WebGrid 7.0.7200.533 (latest WebGrid) ?

I couldn't replicate your issue in our local end. If the issue still happens, could you tell me the steps to replicate your issue? I also attach a video when i run the WebGrid in IE 8.

Hi Ahmed,

To get the WebDesktop folder, you can re-install your Intersoft's component with our latest installer. Please remember, when you uninstall the Intersoft component, please remove the license key that you have registered from the component (you can re-add it after you install the latest version).

Hi Bernard,

After the update yesterday, the WebGrid version is: 7.0.7200.533

But I don't seem to have the WebDesktop.NET 3.0 folder. Did it get deleted with the update? How can I get it back?

Hi Ahmed,

I've tried to my sample on IE8, but unfortunately it works fine. Could you let me know the version of your WebGrid?

For WebDesktop.dll and WebDesktop.Resources.dll, you can find it on \Intersoft Solutions\WebUI Studio for ASP.NET\WebDesktop.NET 3.0\Bin . For deployment, please ensure assemblies that project needs and assemblies on GAC folder are included in your project's bin folder.

Hi Bernard,

I had the older version of the WebGrid. So I ran the update manager and updated my WebGrid. But that behavior still exists. I am on IE8.

That said, after the update, I havent been able to make a successful deployment. I keep getting the Context Menu error suggesting that I need to register the SmartWebResources. Which I did. I noticed the between my last deployment and the current one. My project is missing the WebDesktop.dll and WebDesktopResources.dll which I assume are the two files I need for this and based on a thread I saw on here.

What is the best way to go about making sure that all my refrences in my project are current. Because I can't seem to find those 2 dll files anywhere to get this to work again.

Hi Ahmed,

I couldn't replicate your issue in our local end. I use WebGrid 7.0.7200.533 to reproduce this issue, but unfortunately it works fine. Could you let me know the version of WebGrid and the browser that you use to replicate this issue? If your WebGrid is not the latest, you can apply the Hotfix using Update Manager.

I am unable to figure out why this happens or even resolve it.

In ss-1, the first row in the grid is selected. And when seleted, all the cells shift to the left and the whole grid becomes not aligned with the header.

In ss-2, the second row in the grid is selected. All the cells shift back to the right and the whole grid is aligned correctly with the header.

These are the meta tags I am using:
